Drum Circle
Rick Wilson will be running his Drum Circle at Hermon Arts Oswestry again in 2026. Expect more flying beats and rhythms. These two- hour sessions are open to everyone, regardless of ability or previous experience and are great examples of collective music making. It is a safe place to be part of. Nobody is exposed unless they want to be!
We play part rhythms, body rhythms, structured rhythms, repetitive rhythms, all sorts of rhythms, drawn both from many parts of the world and from my own creative source.
Come along and be part of it and together we will make a joyful noise. Bring your own drum if you have one. If not, then there are usually a few going spare.
About Rick Wilson
Over many years of both performing and teaching, I have worked worldwide with both adults and young people in a wide variety of settings. This work has taken me amongst theatre, storytelling and radio settings as well as the purely musical performance space. I have a long list of recorded work, both as a collaborator and as a solo artist. My workshop drumming sessions welcome both the beginner and the more seasoned player. They are inclusive and are about collective music making.
